This summer our window wells had quite a few visitors! Toads, frogs and moles. I really liked playing with the baby toads. Just because we have been away doesn’t mean Mommy stopped taking pictures, so you will see lots of pictures out of season until she catches up a little.

We have been away from blogland for so long. In as little words as possible here is what has kept us away: Thanksgiving, the gym, birthdays, Christmas, New Years, vacation, braces, appointments, indecision, school, having fun, playing, organizing, cleaning, catching up on work and friends.

We may not have time to visit everyone’s blogs but we hope to catch up to everyone soon. Mommy hopes to post a pick almost everyday but it may not have many words to go with it. The blog was intended to be a photo diary of our early years anyways so Mommy is feeling guilty that she has let it go so long without any posts.

That we only posted twice in October! It’s been busy with the new school schedule and Mommy joined the gym so some things have been put aside. We love fall and so far it has been so nice outside, today was our first cold day but it is supposed to warm up next week. We have made a few trips to Lemoine’s but half the pictures are not even uploaded to the computer yet. Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful season!

We finally made it out for a walk yesterday. Mason and I kept Mommy on the run because I would take off one way and Mason would go the other way. I really had a lot of fun rolling around on the grass and looking up at the sky, the only problem with doing that is Mason jumping on me. Whenever I lay down he jumps on me and cuddles me, I always laugh and say to mommy “He likes me!” I will post some pics of that later.

So far behind…again! We’ll try to post a “September so far” catch up soon. It has been a busy few weeks and we have been having lots of fun. I started JK and that has been really great too. I really like my teacher and can’t wait to actually start a full week, the staggered start is interesting and probably really good to get us used to the new routine. So far I have only went for one full day but there were only 5 kids in class. We did go for 1 hour and meet all of the parents and kids though. Fall has really snuck up on us, can’t wait to get out for a walk and see if the leaves are changing!

It was such a nice day yesterday (well, not raining anyways) so we decided to head out for a walk. Mason loved walking and stopped every 10 to 20 feet to run his hands on the ground. When we got to the water the wind had picked up so much that I asked mommy if we could go home!! So we only stayed for about 45 minutes but we had a blast while it lasted.

We are getting pretty excited around here. Last week we got our sod and trees put in. The week before that the sidewalks were poured. Now we are working on our fence. It has been a long summer and spring with the neighbourhood being so dirty but it seems like we might get to play in our yard for the last bit of summer and the entire fall! Mason just about loses his mind when you go outside without him, he stands at the door and cries forever. He is most certainly an outdoor boy and he loves to run around and be free.

We had three caterpillars make a cocoon on our front porch. We missed the first one but luckily we were able to see this one come out this morning. I was very, very excited to see him!! Hopefully we will get to see the last one before it flies away. They like to come out early in the morning and they only stay for a while to stretch their wings so to speak LOL! Here are the rest of our pics from the fair. Mason and I had a great time. It was Mason’s first time going on rides and he really loved it, you could hear him squealing from the side lines LOL. I was really good this year, not nearly as whiney as last year. Mommy is very excited for me to go to Disney this year, she thinks I will have much more patience than last year.

Today we went over to Heather and Cameron’s house to play in the backyard. They are so kind to let us play in their backyard since we don't have one yet. I LOVED playing in their sand box! Can you believe there was two pools there and I only wanted to play in the sand box? I did play in the small pool once when I dumped some sand into it though (sorry about that!). Mason just loved being free and ran around all over the place.

There is a train that passes by close to the house and while I was playing in the sprinkler one passed by. It seemed to come out of no where and I ran as fast as I could to Mommy. I was shaking like a leaf and guess what Mommy and Heather were doing? Laughing!! They weren’t laughing that I was scared it was just the way that I showed my fear, it looked cartoonish I guess. Here is a pic of me plugging my ears as a train passed by and the other is of Cam, look at those lashes!!

Dreaming of Disney

Every time I put in one of my Disney movies I see the castle in the intros and I ask mommy if we can go there again. Then I ask her if we can eat with the princesses again “pretty, pretty please?!! So today we booked the vacation and this time we are going to stay on the resort! I am very excited and keep asking when we can go. Mommy told me that we can’t go until after Santa comes and so I said to her “Can I go to sleep then Santa can come tomorrow and then we can go?” LOL!!

Last Saturday we went to the splash pad to have some fun. It was Mason’s first time there and he really liked it. He ran through the water and walked up to it right away. I am not nearly that adventurous so I took my time and eased my way into getting soaked LOL! We were having so much fun that we didn’t even look at mommy no matter how much she called our names.

We went to Grandma & Grandpa’s for Canada Day. Grandma had put up all sorts of flags and it was fun to see them all over the place.

We soaked up some rays on the deck for a bit and then we had some supper.

After supper Aunt Amy brought out cupcakes to decorate, I loved doing that, thanks Aunt Amy! Here is what mommy and I came up with.

After dessert we went back outside. Mommy wasn’t feeling good before we got there and unfortunately after we ate she started feeling worse so we had to leave early. Luckily we were able to shoot off some fireworks in our backyard at home because no one lives behind us yet LOL!!

We went to see Heather and Cameron on Wednesday. While we were there we walked to the local park and played for a while. It was my first time on a tire swing (Mason’s first time too) and I really liked it, as you can see Mason did too. Cameron was sporting her favorite team wear and I guess it was good luck LOL! Anyways we had a great time, thanks for inviting us.

It didn’t start off nice outside. We went out early this morning for some groceries and we had to come back in the house to get jackets and sweaters!! By the time Mason and I got up from our naps the sun was out and the weather was perfect for a walk. We didn’t go to the Point, hopefully we will do that tomorrow, but we did walk to the mailbox and then walked along a few trails around our neighbourhood.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We didn’t do too much since Daddy worked all weekend but he was home tonight so we went out to dinner, which was nice. I had my last gymnastics class on Saturday. I got a graduation certificate that had a bunch of stickers all over it so that was very exciting for me. I can’t wait to start classes again in the fall!

I might be starting pre-school soon. Mommy thinks it would be good for me before I actually start real school this fall!!! I am probably going to be the youngest in the class, I’ll only be 3 years and 9 months old when I start. Hopefully pre-school will help me adjust to so many new things at a younger than normal age LOL!

We had a few thunderstorms the other day. It caused damage and power outages all over Ontario but we were lucky enough just to have the power out for a second. Mommy was able to snap a few shots before the rain. The poor construction workers were scrambling all over the neighbourhood to get things covered, and get themselves indoors! It wasn’t the rain that sent them packing it was the wind!! Our subdivision is soooo dirty and dusty from all the digging and blasting and when the wind started all you could see was dust and sand swirling all over the place. I think the workers had a few sand sandwiches for lunch LOL.

Funny Story

I love to walk around the house in Mommy’s shoes. It’s fun to try and keep my balance in high heels and I like the clunk, clunk sound they make. While I was walking around the house in a pair of her shoes Mommy decided it was too nice of a day to let slip by without a walk. She asked me if I would like to take a walk at Lemoine Point instead of doing circles around the house in her heels. I of course said yes and so she told me to take off her shoes and go get my shoes on. Mommy went and gathered up Mason and some snacks and drinks for us to take. When she came to the front door she found me getting my “walking” shoes on LOL!!! Mommy chuckled and said I couldn’t wear them but looking at the pictures now she thinks it would make for some pretty cute and funny pictures, so maybe next time we go to the Point we will bring a pair or two along with us.

So much has happened since I last posted. I am a walking machine, I walk more now than I crawl. I’m still a man of little words but I will roar and meow if you ask me to (most of the time). I love to give kisses, pull hair and chase Taylor. I am sporting two new teeth finally and there are a few bumps under my gums so we are expecting some more soon. When someone comes to the front door I think it is Daddy and I say dadadadadadada. The fits have not stopped, I seem to have got even better at taking them LOL, but oh well.

What A Beautiful Day!

It has been so nice outside this week, it’s been great! We went for a walk twice this week at the Point and tonight we went exploring beside our house. If you walk far enough down a trail there is a big retention pond and lots of grass. It was actually really pretty and there are a few families of geese living there too. We can’t wait for them to complete all the walking trails in our new neighbourhood. Love, love, love this warm weather!

Looks Like I’m a Lefty!

A few weeks ago we went out and got some activity books. This was my very first attempt at tracing the alphabet (or anything for that matter!). Mommy was so very proud of me and as you can see I was pretty pleased with myself too!! Look at that smile! Anyways, Mommy helped me with the A and the C just to show me how to follow the dashes. I tried with my right hand first because whenever I eat or colour I always rotate from hand to hand so Mommy just automatically passed me the marker to my right hand. I traced out the B and I was very wobbly. I then put the marker in my left hand and it seemed to help with getting the straight lines straighter LOL!

Mommy is trying to clear some space on her laptop because it is now full! So we need store some more pictures on the external hard drive. That is not our favorite thing to do since losing all of my pictures from age 0-24 months on our old drive so Mommy likes to post her favorites just in case it was to happen again. I guess Mason gets the spotlight tonight LOL, but we did go to Lemoine Point tonight so I’m sure you will see some pics of me soon.

Guess Who Turned One!?

On Sunday we had Mason’s first birthday party! As you might guess the theme was Sock Monkey! All of the little kids got sock monkeys for favors. Mommy went a little crazy with the banana theme. We baked 4 different kinds of banana bread, made banana slush punch, and had banana cake too LOL. It has been so busy and fun preparing for the party but with all the things to do Mommy forgot to take pictures of half the things she did. Thankfully Natalie took some pictures and sent them so we can show you the bread and cake pops/balls that Mommy made. Mason and I loved every minute of the party and had so much fun playing and partying. Everyone was so well behaved, it was an excellent day! Thank-you Uncle Dave and Aunt Amy for coming over early and helping and to everyone else that helped or offered to help. Mommy, Daddy and I were not home the day before the party to prepare because I had dental surgery. It was really hard on Mommy and Daddy to see me go under but I did amazing and recovered perfectly for the party the next day.

By the way, somebody is also walking… you were right Nat! Not all the time, but more and more everyday, Mason is walking!! Now that surgery/appointments and the party is over, we are hoping to get a few more posts in and not go almost 3 weeks without one. Perhaps an April recap is required?

All Boy

I LOVE watching the big machines doing their thing! My birthday is just around the corner. A year has really flew by and so much has happened. I am almost ready to walk but not quite yet. I often stand without holding onto anything until I notice that I’m doing it LOL. I give high and low fives and love waving. I’m not a man of many words, none actually. I say dada and mum mum but I’m not aware that it actually means anything… although I usually only say mum mum mum mum when I am whiney and want something so maybe I do know what mum mum means, jury’s still out on that one LOL. I am finally starting to enjoy reading. I love it when Mommy lets me turn the pages but we are lucky if we get to the end of a book. I still want to eat the book and I love turning the pages so much that I don’t want to know what that animal is what sound it makes. I still drool like crazy and it seems like I stopped getting teeth, I haven’t cut any new teeth in months! Where are my other 2 bottom teeth? Mommy thinks the drool will slow a bit if they come in… hopefully! Now for the not so endearing qualities LOL. I am a huge fit taker! If Mommy doesn’t get my food to me fast enough I will throw myself backwards and bang my head against my highchair. I grab onto the sides and shake the chair and I have even resorted to bending over and trying to bite the tray!! Mommy really hopes this is not an indication that I might be a biter! I throw toys if I don’t get my way and if I am upset and you try to distract me with something I will either take it and throw it or I will push it away or try to slap it out of your hands. Mommy’s already scared about how I might be when I am a toddler. What can I say, Taylor is going through her very ~~bratty~~ spirited, ~~bold~~ strong willed, and ~~selfish~~ independent stage LOL, I guess I have picked up on some of that. There’s still hope for me yet, I am just a wee guy after all LOL!

LOL, I love the movie Megamind! I could watch it over and over, but then again, I could watch any movie over and over again.

We went to Lemoine Point last week. I was really excited and kept on telling Mommy that I “wuved” her. As excited as I was about the walk, I ended up sitting in the stroller the last half of our walk eating goldfish. Mommy told me I could eat them as soon as we got into the van if I wanted to but hunger won over and I was content enough to just be outside enjoying the fresh air finally!! Mason also really enjoyed the walk because he was out of his car seat and facing forward. He liked being able to see more than just the sky.

I started gymnastics last Saturday! It was really fun but I would not listen to my coach and just wanted to play in the corner LOL. Mommy ended up coming into the gym with me and we had to take part in the tall and small class instead of Kindergym. They said it sometimes takes a few classes to get used to how things go. In my defense I have never taken part in any type of class or had to take instruction from anyone else but my immediate family LOL! On the other hand, I am pretty head strong and Mommy isn’t sure I will ever listen to anyone else without a fit? It makes Mommy pretty nervous for school this fall and she is questioning if I should start this year or not? It’s probably just Mommy getting freaked out that school is just around the corner and it all seems too soon!

Mason is doing great and will soon be 1! Hopefully he can do a Monday with Mason soon. If not we will definitely do a one year recap/update.

Actually all of these pictures were taken within an hour of each other. Mason and I like to keep busy LOL.

Yesterday I was playing with a toy and Mason was crawling over to try to take it. Just before he was within arms reach I held up my hand in the air and said Mason no swiping, Mason no swiping, MASON, NO SWIPING! Mommy laughed and laughed and both Mason and I looked at her funny. Mommy said perhaps I watched a little too much Dora and perhaps Dora should get a GPS… whatever that means. I just thought it might work on Mason since it seemed to work on Swiper LOL, then I told Mommy that Mason was a sneaky fox hehehe.

The temperature is rising! It’s not warm out by any means but it soon will be. We drove to Lemoine Point today to see if it was still snowy on the trails, and it was, but we are hoping by this time next week we will get out for a walk! We are all really excited to finally get out and enjoy the outdoors once again.

These two pics crack Mommy up. They clearly show two parts of my personality. My devilish side and silly side, shot just seconds apart!

I’m All Stuffed Up!

For the past 3 or 4 months I have been having sinus congestion. Nothing like a cold but I usually have to blow my nose every few hours. It seemed to come and go so it wasn’t too alarming until recently Mommy discovered I could not breath through my nose! I started eating with my mouth open and had to take many breaks to breath while eating LOL! When she asked me to breath through just my nose I almost turned blue trying (not really but I like to exaggerate). Today I went to the doctors and I have “GIANT, giant adenoids!” exclaimed the doctor. So now I am on a nasal spray and have to be referred to an ear, nose and throat doctor. My tonsils and ears are clear so that is good, hopefully the spray will help my nose and I won’t have to get anything removed, I guess we will see. As usual I have never once complained and am my happy, smiley, silly self. Mommy is so lucky to have a good girl like me LOL!

Guess who’s already copping attitude with Mommy?! If you look close you can see the single tear under my left eye. I was upset because I wanted up and she wasn’t picking me up.

45 weeks old and a cruising machine! Half my day is spent eating and sleeping and the other half is filled with cruising, climbing stairs, playing and of course, copping attitude LOL! Happy Monday, hope everyone had a great weekend.

Isn’t it funny how fast time goes by when you’re not looking? I can’t believe it’s almost been a week since my last post. Mason and I have been having lots of fun playing together and exploring the house. Mason’s favorite part of the house is the stairs! The posts are positioned the wrong way so Mommy can’t get a baby gate up at the bottom of the stairs. It seems like she is always ushering him away from them or just giving in and letting him climb them multiple times a day. Maybe he will lose interest if he climbs them enough… LOL, ya right!

Yesterday we woke up to no TV. Mommy quickly discovered why and spent an infuriating 3 HOURS on the phone with Bell. They didn’t want to send anyone out to fix it until the next day. Normally she would have let it go but the guy who installed it didn’t actually attach it to anything other than our siding and the foam underneath it! I doesn’t take a genius to know if you have securely attached it to something so that bothered her and Daddy, but the biggest reason why she wanted it fixed that day was because Survivor was on that night LOLOLOL!! Eventually they relented and sent someone out. They will have to pay to fix the siding as well.

Hopefully no more nasty surprises pop up for a while. I’ll try to post a little more often too LOL.

Yesterday was a lazy day and so this is how I looked all day LOL! Mason tried broccoli again and this time he loved it. He smashed it up and scrunched it in his fingers and then ate it. Although he wore a bunch of it he also managed to eat most of it, he loves being able to do new things, and just like me, wants to do it by himself. Hope you’re having a lazy weekend too.

February Recap

February was fun, fabulous and full of firsts! In shorts it consisted of… whining (definitely not a first), playing, puking, snowing, snoozing and jump-a-rooing, cruising, peek-a-booing, valentining, chocolate milk partying, bald eagle stalking, sunset viewing and head shaking!! LOL, what a month! Over all it was great and we are so excited to be in our new house. The second day we moved in we had a crazy wind storm which blew quite a few shingles off the roof, thankfully it was fixed quickly an was not an issue. We hope you had a fabulous February too!

LOL!! Okay, I know this is way past the point but this post has been sitting in the “draft” section for quite some time. Mommy never did get around to adding more Christmas pics and that’s why we haven’t posted it but I decided to just get it out of limbo land anyways.

The move went fairly easy but we are still getting things organized and unpacked. This was Mommy and Daddy’s first move with kids so not only is there twice the amount of stuff to move but things only get done when it’s good for Mason and I. Last move for a long time… hopefully! So far, the only thing that has had it’s picture taken, is the roof, but we’ll save that story for another post. This house is so nice and bright and Mommy loves all of the natural light but just needs to find some extra energy before she starts getting snap happy… soon though.

The hardwood is in and they are just starting to clean it. Our walk through is 9:00 am on Thursday and we will have the keys Thursday afternoon! I am very excited to get into my new bedroom and get settled in! We have been busy the last few days getting things packed up again and ready to go. Mondays With Mason

41 Weeks! For some reason Taylor likes it when I jump on her back! Taylor crawls under me when I am in the jumperoo and laughs when I jump on her. When I stop she says “again, again!” Silly sister! Not much new this week. I am still working on my pulling up and trying to cruise a little but Mommy is in no hurry to have me running around just yet LOL.

I want to be put down to sleep while I am awake but I am also having problems letting Mommy leave me before I am asleep so I am in between a rock and a hard place at bed times right now.

For the past few days Mommy started reading me books again. I used to just try to eat the books and not let her turn pages so reading books was difficult. Now I let her go through the book once before I try to eat it LOL. I like it when Mommy helps me point to the animals!

Taylor and I are interacting so much more than we used to. We are really getting good at this buddy thing. This morning Daddy asked Taylor if Mommy and Daddy loved her more than anyone else loves her. She quickly replied “Yes, and Mason does too!” I admit it, I do!

I had the time of my life when I went for my princess appointment! It was so much fun to have 2 ladies doting over me. Afterwards we went on one ride and walked around for a bit until it was time to have dinner with the princesses! I met 5 princesses but only one picture with Ariel turned out and even that one was blurry. It was pretty dark in there so we were lucky to get that one. If we do it again we will have breakfast or lunch with them LOL.

Mondays With Mason On Tuesday

40 WEEKS!! How has this much time passed by? I guess time flies when you are having fun. I am now pulling up to standing and just starting to cruise a little. I love holding on with only one hand and seeing what I can get into! My other favorite thing to do is to try and climb the stairs. I can do it if Mommy or Daddy makes sure I don’t slide back down the stairs but not on my own completely yet.

When we were in Florida we decided to go to the beach. The weather wasn’t ideal but it was warm enough to play in the sand. I enjoyed feeling sand in my hands for the first time and only tried to eat it a few times LOL! Taylor had a blast chasing all the birds around and digging for shells. It was fun to share a few firsts with Taylor, the two of us had never been to a real beach and of course it was our first time seeing the ocean! Fun times! Mommy took a few hundred more beach pictures so I’m sure she will share some more soon.

I had so much fun going on all the rides at Disney. I really have no fear when it comes to rides and the faster the better. The picture below was taken on the teacup ride and I loved it when Daddy spun us around fast!

We had an amazing, fun filled holiday! Disney was so much fun and Mommy took sooo many pictures that I could never post them all but I will try to post a few every day for a while. We are only weeks away from moving into our new house so things are still pretty busy around here. Mommy and I are looking forward to when we can start posting again on a regular basis. We went to see the house yesterday and the kitchen is in!! The tile is down, the paint is done, we are just waiting for the hardwood, lights and sinks to be installed and all the final touches to be finished. It will be great finally get things organized again.

You just know Mommy had to do this to Mason, LOL!!! As you can tell, he didn’t like it one bit, not because they were girly ears but because he didn’t like the feel of them on his head.
This balloon was the best investment (Mommy says investment because it was $10!!!). It was worth every penny! Mason & I have played with it everyday and loved it. Mason crawls around all over the place with it and I love taking it from him to get him to chase me. The best part is that we have had it for 2 weeks and it still looks as good as when we got it!!

I know that’s not much of a post but it’s a start at least, LOL!

Mondays With Mason

37 Weeks! Lots has been happening since I last posted. I can crawl easily and get around quite quickly too. If you hold my hands I will walk but I am not cruising yet. I have no fear and that is sometimes not good since I fall over so much because I love to pull up on things so much!

I now have 6 teeth! Mommy is glad that my top 2 teeth are finally through because I was pretty miserable until they broke through.

I am copying all sorts of things that Taylor does and I already love to chase her around the house. I’m also playing with my toys now, my favorite thing to do is to push my cars and “dance” to music. I love growing up but Mommy wishes I would slow down just a bit LOL!

Some more January pictures. I still need to post some holiday shots but Mommy is trying to keep caught up with her pictures this year, LOL! That will last probably until we go to Florida and after she takes a bazillion pictures it will all seem to over whelming again! Oh well, maybe it will work, maybe not.

We had a great Christmas and New Year’s. Mason and I were very spoiled and loved every minute of it. Mommy was also very spoiled herself, on Christmas Eve Daddy gave her a new camera! It’s the Sony a850 and she calls it her “even bigger girl camera”, LOL.

Our New Year’s was actually just like any other day. Mason and I went to bed at our regular time and Mommy went to bed earlier than her usual time. Mason was teething and was up quite a bit the night before so staying up till midnight and then having another long night was not her cup of tea.

I’m trying to catch up with everyone a few at a time but since the charge on this laptop only lasts 2 hours it’s been hard to multi task with it plugged into the wall because Mommy has to catch up with all the bookwork too. Mason and I will try to update the blog better with some posts about our holidays and of course get back into Mondays With Mason soon. The house is getting there and the floors are scheduled to start on the 17th!! Yippee! We will be in Florida by then so it will be exciting to peek through the windows to see how it is coming along when we get back. Happy New Year to all!

Sorry, I don't have any pictures to post because Mommy handed in her laptop to the accountant a few days after our last post. We hope to have it back in another week or two and then there will be tons of pics to share. Mason & I had a wonderful Christmas and we hope everyone else did too! The house is going great and is all drywalled and ready for mud. We can't wait to move in and get things back to normal! Hopefully soon. Florida is just around the corner and I am very excited to see the princesses.
