Curiosity

I am quite fascinated with the tree this year.  I have already broke one ornament and Mommy has a feeling that there will be more to come lol.  When I woke up this morning I discovered that Mommy had wrapped and put a bunch of presents under the tree already.  I commented right away and I tried to pull one or two out but I was quickly told “No”!  Mommy said they are not all for me and I will get to open mine soon enough.

You can expect to see many more pictures like this.  We are trying to document everyday with at least one picture for everyday in December.

I Heart Faces – Tooshies!

smallbutton

The theme for this week is tooshies.  This should be a fun and interesting week to see the shots.  I expect to see some pretty funny pictures, but no nudes, they are not allowed.

This was taken in August when Taylor started trying to see the world upside down.  She sometimes still does this but not nearly as much.  Head on over to I Heart Faces to check out this weeks photos.

Santa Claus Parade - Gananoque

Wow, two posts in one day!  I must be feeling ambitious lol!  Mommy didn’t edit any of these pictures though, not much point since they are night shots.  Mommy loves the first shot  though.  We have so many more pictures than I am going to post but I don’t want to overload you with too many pictures in one day.

We met Uncle Dave and Aunt Amy for a birthday dinner for Daddy and then we went to the parade afterwards.  I had lots of fun at this parade and I even got some candy this time!  In fact, Mommy and Daddy had their pockets full of goodies!  I’m a little too small for most of them but I can eat the rockets.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Just a quick post before we go out.  I am off to see Santa in another parade lol!  I need to catch up with all my bloggy friends tonight.

When I got up from my nap yesterday Mommy had the tree all fluffed and ready to be decorated.  We went out and did some shopping for Daddy’s clients and after we ate supper Mommy and I decorated the tree.  I mostly just made a mess but I did manage to get a few decorations put on the tree.  Here are some pics of our night.SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC DSC07076-2 SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC DSC07104-2 DSC07131-2

My New Wheels

DSC06998-2Mommy & Daddy bought me a new stroller.  I couldn’t believe it when I saw it had a spot for Lora my dolly.  They said something about a brother or sister but I have no idea what that is but I know for sure that Lora fits in there nicely LOL!!

It is a the Bumbleride Indie Twin stroller.  My Quinny stroller is a jogger with big wheels and a metal frame, a lot like this one and we loved it so this one was perfect for what Mommy was looking for.  It even has a cup holder, something that the Quinny didn’t have.  The bar in front of Lora is the universal adapter bar so that Mommy can attach the car seat that we already have.

As you can see in the picture I have to now do my fish face a new way.  Mommy taught me this new way.  I’m not sure why but I have lost my ability to make the fish face without using my fingers.  Mommy thinks it might have something to do with my new molars, we’re not sure.

I Heart Faces – Sun Flare

smallbutton

This week’s theme at I Heart Faces is Sun Flare!  I didn’t really get a good shot of Taylor with a good sun flare in it when we went out last week.  The sun was too high up and I just couldn’t get down far enough on the ground.  If it was summer time I would have but the ground was wet and soggy so I decided to use this picture from earlier this summer.  I’m not sure if it will even qualify since there isn’t really a face in it but I still wanted to participate lol.  If you want to see a better face shot with some sun flare go to I Heart Faces, you won’t be disappointed.SONY DSC

Santa Claus Parade

Tonight I went to my first Santa Claus Parade.  I don’t usually do well with loud noises, they make me cry, but tonight I was really good at tolerating them and only cried a few times.  I was mostly irritated that bigger kids were standing in front of me and blocking my view!  Mommy said live and learn and next year we will be much more aggressive with our space and bring out the chairs and set them up right at the edge of the curb.  We could only get my stroller to the edge and it is very narrow in the front and kids were standing beside me so I saw a lot of bum hehehe.  Daddy saved me and picked me up and I was happier, he’s 6’4” so it’s handy to have a tall Daddy in these instances.  I kept on going back and forth from Mommy and Daddy but overall I had a great time at the parade.  As expected the pictures didn’t turn out that great.  Most of them are orange hued and Mommy knows if she had of played with the white balance on her camera she probably could have eliminated that but she hasn’t touched that setting very much and didn’t want to try to figure it out.  She only edited 1 picture of tonight so please excuse the orange lol!  It didn’t help that the street lights were orange too.  Here are some pics from tonight.

Happy Weekend!

SONY DSC Tomorrow Mommy, Daddy and I are going to go to the Santa parade!  I am excited since it will be my first time.  I’m not sure how well the pictures will turn out since it will be starting to get dark by the time the parade starts.

Mommy’s class is not quite what she expected.  She thought it would be some fun editing of pictures for Christmas but it turned out to be more of a scrapbooking project and it’s not really her kind of scrapbooking.  There are so many great ideas though that she is interested in doing or incorporating into her kind of scrapbooking.  I will post pictures of the pages once she starts doing some.

Today we went to get Mommy’s H1N1 shot for her, so far so good, just a sore arm.  She is now 17 weeks along in her pregnancy so she decided it was time to go.  The line wasn’t too bad.  We went and got a bracelet and then went shopping for a bit.  She dropped Daddy and I off at home and went back and then she got to pass a hundred or so people in line thanks to the bracelet.  She is starting to show a little so I will start to post some pics in the next week or so.  Mommy has been showing me some drawings of women with babies in their belly from her pregnancy book.  I point to the baby and say bebe but I’m not getting that she has one in her belly.  Last night I pointed to my own belly and said bebe lol!

I know for many of you this is Thanksgiving weekend, so I hope you all have a great thanksgiving dinner and enjoy the company of your loved ones.  We already had our thanksgiving in October.

Gorgeous Blogger Award

GorgeousBloggerAward

Jeremi at Elle and Zoe has given me (Taylor’s Mommy) this fun award, thanks Jeremi!  It was so nice of you to include me in your list!  The rules for accepting the 'Gorgeous Blogger' award are to share six things you don't know about me, and to pass the award on to six other Gorgeous Bloggers.

Six Things You Don’t Know About Me.

  1. I sing… a lot!  I am terrible and so is my husband (he’s worse) but we can not help ourselves.  If I start humming or singing a song he will join in and vise versa.  I sing songs with made up words of popular tunes to Taylor and dance around the living room with her.  I always have to correct my husband when he gets the words wrong too LOL.
  2. I hate shortbread cookies and always have but have discovered that while pregnant I can’t get enough.  I got my husband to drive to Walmart, 9:00 at night, and buy me a box.  I ate the whole box in 24 hours and have since bought 4 more boxes!  I hope this ends soon because it’s not good for the waistline.
  3. I love to scrapbook and have a huge collection of cricut cartidges and haven’t used half of them.  In fact the last page that I scrapbooked was from last Thanksgiving but I still buy supplies.
  4. I LOVE the winter olympics and barely leave the house when they are on.  This will be the first year that I have been a mother while they will be held so I couldn’t be happier to own a PVR.  I am so stoked that they will be in Canada this year!  Come on 2010.
  5. I am terrified of cows. When I was young I used to run away screaming "run for your lives" if one came too close.  It’s weird because I lived beside a farm most of my childhood but never overcame the fear of them.  An animal that is bigger than I am makes me nervous.
  6. I think of crazy scenarios in my head and try to think of how to avoid or resolve them.  For example, I kept myself awake for over an hour thinking of what I would do if there was a fire in my garage at night.  My bedroom is directly over the garage and so if I survived my bed falling through the floor and I escaped the flames, how would I get to Taylor and save her?  All of that was started because I heard a noise coming from the garage lol.

And now to award 6 other Gorgeous Bloggers....

Stephanie @ Roper Family
Natalie @ And Then There Were Three
Carly @ Carly’s Photography
Suki @ Life With Ghost Eyed Dogs
Bridgette @ Life’s A Beach
Maria @ Ramblings From The Foothills
Cathy @ Created For Inspiration
Shannon@ Espinoza’s Love
Rachel @ Moments With My Miracles
Catherine Anne @ Blessed Adventures

Okay I know that is way more than 6 but I don’t want to leave people out or hurt feelings LOL!!  If I missed you and you want to participated just let me know and I will add you to the list.  If I added you and you don’t want to participate I won’t be offended if you don’t.  I have another award that I have to do but I got busy (actually I think I fell asleep early) and I forgot about it… also known as baby brain.  This one reminded me of it and I will try to put that one up tomorrow.

Day 1 of Holidays In Hand

christmas-tree

Mommy is taking another online class at Jessica Sprague and it a little different than the other classes she has taken.  It has to do with scrapbooking which is great because it has been too long since she has scrapped.

The first assignment is to write down your goals for this holiday season and so here are her goals.

  1. To make the holidays as fun and special as possible for me because it will be my last as an only child.
  2. To take as many pictures as possible.
  3. To be as organized and prepared as possible.
  4. To take a deep breath when it all seems like too much lol!
  5. To stay as merry and bright as possible.
  6. Try not to be a control freak and remember what Christmas is all about.

I think the list to could go on and on but the post needs to end sometime.

The second assignment is to commit at least 20 minutes a day to recording, writing, photographing, savoring, printing, gluing, scrapbooking, remembering, slowing down EVERY DAY in December!  Yikes!  Mommy says she may not be able to do 20 minutes everyday but might be able to do 40 minutes or more on off days.

Psst… Mommy never scrapped anything from last Christmas either lol!  Maybe she can start with that?

I Heart Faces – Autumn Beauty

smallbutton The theme this week is Autumn Beauty.  They want to see all the beautiful colours of fall.  I had a hard time this week choosing which picture I would use.  Taylor and I have been on so many walks this fall and I have so many great pictures of her.  I was going to use a different picture because the description called for all the beautiful colours of fall and I have one but I decided to go with this one instead.  It isn’t as “colourful” as most of the pictures I have but the story behind it is why I chose this one.  Taylor and I were walking along the path and she loves sticks so she picked one up and as she was walking she snagged a leaf on the end of it, she was so proud of her “catch” and didn’t mind showing it off!  A few frames later she was trying to eat the leaf LOL.  If you want to check out all the other beautiful fall shots go to I Heart Faces!

Sunset

Mommy took this pictures from our deck a week or so ago.  They are straight out of the camera but the sky looked even more orange in person.    It was so beautiful even I stopped and looked at it for a while.  I don’t think I have seen the sky look like that before but then again I don’t really look either LOL!

Mommy, Daddy and I did some Christmas shopping last weekend and tonight.  I think this is the last year that they will get away with taking me along.  I am starting to wonder what all those fun looking packages are.  Other than that not too much has been happening.  I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Bird Wearing

It’s the latest fashion!  Well maybe not, but it was really neat and exciting to have them land in my hand and eat from it!

Today was very eventful at the point.  I played with a little boy who was the same age as I was and I played a while with a little girl too.  While I was playing with the little girl we were feeding the birds together and a buck and doe came walking by.  We actually heard the buck let out a really loud call to the female.  Mommy says he was trying to be “friendly” with the female and we better not get too close because they can be pretty aggressive this time of year.  It was the first time we saw a male while out for a walk.  I was more interested in the birds though.
