Bird Wearing

It’s the latest fashion!  Well maybe not, but it was really neat and exciting to have them land in my hand and eat from it!

Today was very eventful at the point.  I played with a little boy who was the same age as I was and I played a while with a little girl too.  While I was playing with the little girl we were feeding the birds together and a buck and doe came walking by.  We actually heard the buck let out a really loud call to the female.  Mommy says he was trying to be “friendly” with the female and we better not get too close because they can be pretty aggressive this time of year.  It was the first time we saw a male while out for a walk.  I was more interested in the birds though.

Catch Up

I need to catch up on some posts but Mommy has been pretty tired lately.  I still haven’t posted the rest of my Halloween pictures yet lol, maybe sometime this week.  On Thursday I went for my H1N1 shot and I didn’t even cry!  I had absolutely no side effects (knock   on wood) and my arm wasn’t even sore the next day.  Mommy was pretty nervous and so was Daddy, he called Mommy 3 time on Friday to see how I was doing.  There is such a debate on whether or not to get it but since Mommy is pregnant we decided it was best because it has been going around our city like crazy.  So overall we are very happy nothing bad happened.  Now we just have to wait and see how it goes with Mommy and Daddy.

The weather yesterday and today has been so great!  Yesterday Mommy and Daddy took me to the park (Yeah for my shot) because I haven’t been there for a while.  Today Mommy and I made our way to Lemoine Point for a walk.  All of the leaves have fallen from the trees but there are still a bunch on the ground so I had a bunch of fun playing with them today.  We are going to go again tomorrow and we will bring some seeds with us.  The chickadees were flying really close to us so Mommy put up her hand and a few landed on her hand, they didn’t stay long because she didn’t have any seeds. I was having a great time running around and saying “Hi” to everyone that walked by.  Here are some pictures from today.

Disappointment is…

Losing your balloons!  These shots were all taken within 3 seconds of one another.  They tell a clear story.  You can see the look of  “OH NO!” on my face in this shot.SONY DSC In this next shot I am pointing at them stuck in the tree and giving Mommy the pleading look to get them back!SONY DSC This last shot is blurry because Mommy was no longer looking at me she was looking up to see if she could save the balloons.  You can tell the tears are about to start LOL.  Mommy was able to get 3 of the 4 balloons.  There was originally5 but we already went through the same drama a few minutes earlier LOL!SONY DSC

I Heart Faces - Balloons

smallbutton OOHH I have been waiting for this week for a while.  I haven’t come up with a creative and fabulous shot like I know there will be this week but Taylor’s in it so it’s perfect and special to me LOL!  She had so much fun playing with the balloons and was quite disappointed when she accidently let them go.  They were tied to her hand but she hated that so I explained that she had to hold them and she did great for a while but when they got stuck on a branch she let go to try and get a better grip.  I was able to get most of them back because they were stuck in the tree but after the same thing happening over and over we were left with just 2 in the end.

I have been looking forward to seeing some really creative shots, I love I Heart Faces for that simple fact.  I am always amazed by some really beautiful shots and ALWAYS see some pictures that I want to try in the future.  If you want to see some great shots go to I Heart Faces.SONY DSC

Happy Halloween!

It’s too bad that it was so dark, windy and rainy here today.  It really made it hard to get a picture that wasn’t blurry/grainy or both, especially when I was so excited and moving around like crazy lol!  Here are just a few, there will be more to follow.  Mommy even forced herself to post a picture of herself.

Does It Have To End?

It wasn’t perfectly sunny all day but it was still great weather.  We went for another walk this morning and I had lots of fun running around again.  We saw a few kids my age and I had fun babbling to them.  I was picking up leaves and yelling leaf to the lol.   I wish this weather wouldn’t end but I know it will.  Hopefully we can find some fun things to do this winter.

Mommy has a doctors appointment tomorrow so I am going to go to Grandma & Grandpa’s house for an hour.  Other than that not much will be going on tomorrow.  I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far.  Here are a few pics from today.  I am going to break them up and post some more tomorrow since I won’t be up to too much.  It’s supposed to rain all day again too… blah!

A Beautiful Day!

It was another gorgeous day here today so we went for a walk.  The leaves are really starting to fall from the trees now, so that’s a bit sad but there are still some really pretty ones left.  Mommy thinks that we will go to the point this winter and see if I will go down a few small hills on my sleigh.  As long as I don’t fall off I think that sounds fun!  We are going back tomorrow and possibly Thursday if the rain holds off.  The weather network can’t make up it’s mind for that day lol.

I Heart Faces – Halloween Dress Up

smallbutton

Yes, it’s that time again!  This week at I Heart Faces the theme is Halloween dress up.  I am guessing there will be so many fun shots this week so be sure to check them out.  I didn’t want to spoil the surprise of Taylor’s outfit so I decided she should dress up as a fairy princess for our pictures today.  It was such a beautiful day outside today and we were so happy because it has been so rainy here for most of the week.  I was hoping to get a good picture of Taylor smiling but she was just so busy doing her own thing that she would barely even look at me lol.

Angie & Amy’s Pick and a Sweet Smile!

This week Mommy was one of Angie and Amy’s picks over at I Heart Faces!  She was very excited to get her first award because it was a special picture for Mommy, Daddy and I, thanks Angie and Amy!  I must say I am surprised it wasn’t a shot of my sweet face and it was a picture of something she peed on lol.  Speaking of my sweet face here is a picture of it, oh wait, that’s not my face.  It’s a few pics of me pretending I have a baby in my belly.  Actually Mommy’s not too sure that’s what I’m doing but it is a coincidence that I started doing this lately!  (Psst… It’s because Daddy put the ball under my shirt one night and then he and I bounced bellies but we’ll let Mommy think what she wants too hehehe.)

So many pictures….

Yes, it’s true.  I am going to be a big sister!  I have no idea of what it entails or even what it means but I will soon enough.  Mommy says she is going to have a baby on April 29th or some where around that time.   When she told me that she had a baby in her belly I lifted up her shirt to take a look at her belly.  I didn’t see a baby?

We went to the point again this morning.  It was so beautiful outside again today.  I wish it wouldn’t get any colder but I think I might like snow a little more this year.  We’ll see.

I Heart Faces – Pink Week

Pink_Week

This week is pink week at I Heart Faces.  It is in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I am excited to see the photos this week.  If you are curious too, go to I Heart Faces and check them out.

I can’t believe I am going to announce this on I Heart Faces!  I was going to wait another week before I said anything on my blog but since it’s pink week…  To me, breast cancer awareness is about honoring and celebrating lives saved and lost and trying to find a cure.  So many advancements have been made through the marvels of modern science and that is how this pregnancy was made possible.  I am expecting this baby because of IVF (In vitro fertilization).  In fact, without it I wouldn’t have my little beauty Taylor either.  So this week I thought I would share our celebration of life with these 2 pink lines.

Lemoine’s Point

It was such a beautiful morning here today so we decided to go out.  We were not sure where we were going at first but the day was already so nice that Mommy decided it was definitely a walking morning!  We spent over an hour and a half there and Mommy was sure pooped afterwards but I still had lots of energy LOL.  I did take a long nap though… maybe we’ll go again tomorrow LOL.  Here are a few pics, I will post a bunch more tomorrow.

Tricycle Time

Mommy and Daddy bought me a tricycle a few months ago.  It is still too big fore me.  I can reach the pedals but they are just a little too far away for me to be able to push them.  So for now the trike makes a good sitting toy LOL.  I love to play with the tassels, in fact, I played with them so much that I ended up pulling most of them off.  Mommy says she will get me some new tassels when I am ready to ride the tricycle.

Saunders Farm – The Final Chapter…

After the maze we decided it was time for some lunch.  It wasn’t very good, in fact, I only ate half of a french fry!  They were cold and hard.  Mommy and Daddy didn’t have much luck with food that day.  They got their lunch from the only place that served icky food LOL.  Every other place was handing out steaming hot fries but not this place.  Oh well, live and learn for next time.  Here I am eating that one fry, as you can tell by the look on my face it was not good at all LOL!  At least I still had my fig newton.SONY DSC Once we finished threw out lunch Daddy let me run around a little and I climbed on some rocks.SONY DSCSONY DSC Next was Hayride time!  It was too haunted for someone my age and Mommy and Daddy were a little disappointed that no one said so!  They said that it was really toned down for the little ones… I would hate to see what it was like at night.  There were things that almost fell on you, people jumping from the bush and scaring you, skeletons and ghouls all over, and Jason chased you with his chainsaw!  I loved the first half of the trip because there wasn’t much scary stuff but the rest I could have lived without LOL!!SONY DSC SONY DSCSONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC After the hayride I needed to wind down a little so we looked at the pumpkins hanging in the trees.SONY DSC DSC05552-2 DSC05553-2 Once I was calm and relaxed we went to the pumpkin patch to get some pics and then we headed home.  It was way past my nap time so I slept most of the way home.  Over all it was a great day and I can’t wait to go back!

Saunders Farm Part III

After we played on the caboose we headed straight for the pirate ship!SONY DSC Again, all I wanted to do was to slide down the slide.

SONY DSC DSC05472-2 DSC05474-2After I was done sliding we went to Witch Mountain and walked up the slope.SONY DSC DSC05479-2 Once we got to the top I ran around in circles in the gazebo.  There was a really big slide at the top but Daddy didn’t want to slide down with me… bock, bock!  SONY DSC SONY DSC After we stopped to pose for the camera we decided it was maze time…  It didn’t go so well and it was our first and last maze.  The pictures pretty much explain the reason why!SONY DSC SONY DSC I was in my stroller so it didn’t bother me at all and Daddy wore his work boots so he was fine but Mommy didn’t fair so well, she walked around like that for another 2 hours and it was cold on the feet!  Tomorrow I will post the last of the Saunders Farm pics.

Saunders Farm Part II

When we first entered the farm there were a few spots to have your picture taken so we did that and then we headed off to play on some structures.  There were so many to choose from but Mommy and Daddy only let me play on a few because there was so many wild kids running around and I would have been knocked down.  The first structure we stopped at was a caboose.  It had lots of things to climb on but all I was really interested in was the slide. so I had a great time going down that.  Stay tuned for more Saunders farm pics tomorrow.

I Heart Faces – Excited!

smallbutton

I Heart Faces picked another fun and “exciting” theme LOL.  This week the pictures will be full of excitement because the faces are supposed to clearly convey that!

This is a picture of Taylor way back when she was 9 months old!  It was her first trip to the park (yes I was one of those freaky Moms afraid to take her baby out of the house LOL).  The look on her face and her delight made me really regret not taking her sooner.  After that day we went as much as we could until the snow flew.  This year we made so many trips to the park and went on so many walks.  Funny enough though I still felt super guilty on the nice days that we didn’t go out.  I guess that’s just part of being a Mommy.

Saunders Farm Part 1

Today we went to Saunders Farm!  I had so much fun.  There were so many things to do but it was muddy so I was limited with some things and also because I am still pretty small.  I can’t wait to go back next year.  I have so many pictures and a lot to tell but I will have to tell it in bits.  I will start with the pumpkin “patch”.  It wasn’t much of a patch as much as it was a bunch of rows of pumpkins but we were very thankful it was like that due to all of the rain we have got lately.  Enjoy.

Yummy!

Mommy was having some pumpkin pie a few weeks ago and I thought I would help myself.  The phone rang when she first sat down and when she put down the pie to answer it I scooped up the fork and took a big bite.  I didn’t actually get any pie but I sure did love that whip cream!!  YUM!!  Mommy let me keep eating it while she snapped some pics… it was fat free after all LOL!!

I don’t love the first  picture of me but Mommy thinks it is so funny the way I am attempting to eat the whip cream with such zeal.

Taylor Tenenbaum!

Uncle Dave came up with that name a few weeks back when Daddy bought me this outfit.  Daddy was so proud of himself for buying it, Mommy wasn’t with us when we bought it and he came home with it and showed it off to her LOL!  He bragged about how cute it was and what a great price he got it for.  He joked that he should get Mommy and himself one too and uncle Dave said that we could be the Tenenbaums LOL!!

From Smilin’ to Whinin’ in 4 Frames!

Mommy was snapping some pics of me the other day and I suddenly decided I wanted her camera and reached for it.  When she didn’t hand it over my mood quickly changed like only a toddler’s mood can.  My face says it all in the the four pictures below… and yes that is a frame per second.  It only took me four seconds to show my dissatisfaction LOL!

I Heart Faces – Blue

smallbutton

The theme this week is blue!  I think this will be a great week at I Heart Faces but then again when do I not think it will be a great week?

This would have been a good shot for completely candid as well.   This was another “lucky shot”.  I didn’t even look through the camera for this one.  I just knelt down lowered the camera to the ground under her and hoped for the best.   I was actually hoping to get a shot of Taylor smiling while swinging because she sometimes leans over and does that but she was just looking away and it was such a fun looking shot of her.  It wasn’t my favorite from that day but it was close behind.

Mommy’s Mouth

I am always being compared to my Daddy.  After all, I am a mini version of him, but I have some very apparent features from Mommy too.  The biggest being her mouth and by that I mean just the shape LOL!!

I had a good weekend.  We were lazy on Friday, visited with Uncle Dave & Aunt Amy on Saturday, and went shopping with Aunt Amy and later visited with Grandma & Grandpa today.  I hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

SONY DSC SONY DSC

Here I am getting ready to hit Mommy with the pillow.  Unfortunately Daddy taught me how to pillow fight and now Mommy is suffering the consequences LOL!!  Actually I am really gentle and can barley make contact half the time but I enjoy the interaction.  Daddy bought Mommy a new laptop for her birthday so she has been busy getting it all set up but hopefully I will be doing posts more often again.

I Heart Faces – Totally Candid

smallbutton

This weeks theme is Completely Candid.  This should be a fun week to check out all the shots, go to I Heart Faces to see them.

This was just one of those “I’m so glad I had my camera ready shots!”.  We had just bought Taylor a new wading pool a few weeks before and I was still delighted with taking pictures of her in it.  Well after she was getting bored of the pool she played on the deck while my husband and I did some BBQing (and by that I mean me!  I kicked him out of the man club years ago because he doesn’t like to cook on the BBQ).  Anyways, Taylor was playing in her little plastic house and just happened to pop her head out the window and peek around the shutter at me.  I picked up the camera quickly and I got this shot.  The white haze on the right side of the picture is actually a picket from our deck railing.  I couldn’t believe that this ended up being my favorite shot from the day because I didn’t even get a chance to do any kind of focusing or positioning or another shot like it.  She did this for a second and then was back inside playing.  I just got really lucky!

I Heart Faces – Contemplative

smallbutton It’s time for I Heart Faces again!  If you want to see all the great shots go to I Heart Faces!  I didn’t get a chance to enter last week simply because Taylor is too young for back to school and I just couldn’t bring myself to do a pretend shot… it’s too soon LOL!  I really wish it was in focus more but I had my camera on the wrong setting… sigh.  Taylor always sucks in her bottom lip when she is concentrating or “stuck in a moment” as we like to call it.

Bathing Beauty

After I had my bath last night Mommy insisted that we take some pictures because I was looking extra cute.  I, on the other hand, didn’t want to and was not impressed that I had to keep my towel on LOL.  This morning we went to the park and played for a while.  I had lots of fun crawling through a tunnel and watching the other little kids, too bad they weren’t that friendly.

This is some major bed head!  The longer my hair gets the worse the bed head LOL.  We didn’t do much of anything this weekend.  Daddy always seems to work and we never get to go anywhere far from home, so we just chilled at home, made a few trips to the park, pretty much the usual.  I hope everyone else had a great long weekend.

Getting bigger… but not by much

I went to the doctors yesterday.  I gained a whopping 1 pound in the last 3 months LOL!!  Actually I have only gained 4 pounds in the last year but I have really sprouted up in length.  All of my baby chub is pretty much gone but I still have some in my legs.  I am 24 pounds and finally reached the 50th percentile again and I am 33 inches tall which is somewhere in the 90-100 percentile for my age.

Our fridge broke last night!  Mommy and I came downstairs this morning to water all over the floor.  We have an ice maker in our fridge and all the ice was melting and leaking onto the floor.  Thankfully we had someone over to fix it and it wasn’t too expensive but replacing all of the groceries will be LOL!!  Mommy was very relieved that she wasn’t able to go to the grocery store yesterday.

Last but not least it was Grandma’s birthday yesterday and we went to their house for some dinner and cake but Mommy forgot her camera so I don’t have any pics but here are a few we snapped this morning.

Now you all know who steels the socks.  Mommy used to wonder why she had so many mismatched socks… now she knows why!  I sat on the floor for a long time getting one of these socks on and when Daddy saw what all the grunting and fussing was about he helped me with the second one LOL.  (I was pitching a bit of a fit with the second sock)

A trip to the Point

Tonight we decided to go for a walk at the point.  We haven’t been there in so long because of the weather, if it wasn’t raining it was waaaay to muggy and hot.  Mommy says we will be going there more often since the weather is starting to co-operate.  I don’t want to wish the summer away but I can’t wait to see all the leaves change and play in them.

I Heart Faces – Before & After

smallbutton

This is a “just for fun” week at I Heart Faces.  We are supposed to show a picture that we edited when we first started editing pictures and one that we just edited this month.  If you want to see how every one else’s pictures have changed go to I Heart Faces.

This is the very first picture I edited.  I was obsessed with making the skin look so smooth and silky.  I also just had to learn how to make the eyes pop!  It took me 3 hours to edit this picture and I just loved it LOL!  Now I think it looks too over done and I rarely ever touch her skin.  What was I thinking?  I only wish I had her perfect new baby skin, why did I think it needed editing?  I think it was just a new technique I thought I had to do.

Taylor 3 Months 161 SONY DSC

Here is an edit I did on Saturday.  I have learned to not touch the skin LOL but I still love that glassy eye look.  I also discovered that playing with levels can be a great help!  It took me 15 minutes to edit this picture and 4 more.  Psst… actions are so much faster, thanks I heart faces for that info LOL!

Mommy told me that I am a week too late to get my new bubble blowing skills posted on I Heart Faces LOL!  For the past 2 days I have been mastering the skill of spit bubbles.  It truly grosses Mommy out but she hasn’t told me that.  I of course give her big slobbery kisses on a regular basis but when I tried to give her a kiss after my bubble blowing practice and I had spit running down my chin she went and got a face cloth to wipe it off first LOL.

I Heart Faces – Nostalgia

smallbuttonThis week’s theme is nostalgia.  You have to post a picture that brings back a memory and tell everyone about it.  I chose this picture because Taylor is rock picking and loves it!  My cousin and I would spend hours doing this when we were little (we lived in the country, what can I say LOL).  My favorite thing to find was formica.  I loved how it would crumble in your hand and sparkle in the sun.  To this day I love all things shiny LOL!
