I Heart Faces – Before & After

smallbutton

This is a “just for fun” week at I Heart Faces.  We are supposed to show a picture that we edited when we first started editing pictures and one that we just edited this month.  If you want to see how every one else’s pictures have changed go to I Heart Faces.

This is the very first picture I edited.  I was obsessed with making the skin look so smooth and silky.  I also just had to learn how to make the eyes pop!  It took me 3 hours to edit this picture and I just loved it LOL!  Now I think it looks too over done and I rarely ever touch her skin.  What was I thinking?  I only wish I had her perfect new baby skin, why did I think it needed editing?  I think it was just a new technique I thought I had to do.

Here is an edit I did on Saturday.  I have learned to not touch the skin LOL but I still love that glassy eye look.  I also discovered that playing with levels can be a great help!  It took me 15 minutes to edit this picture and 4 more.  Psst… actions are so much faster, thanks I heart faces for that info LOL!

My New Fall Outerwear

I can only wear the poncho on the warmer fall days because it is pretty light.  We went to the Children’s place to get some bargains (we got a few pairs of shorts for next year for $1.99 each) and when Mommy saw this set she had to have it LOL.  Daddy rolled his eyes but there was no changing Mommy’s mind.  Some things are worth paying full price for!SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC If you’re wondering what I’m looking at it’s the TV!  Dora was on and I think they have some sort of trance inducing subliminal messages mixed into the show LOL.

Bubble Blower

Mommy told me that I am a week too late to get my new bubble blowing skills posted on I Heart Faces LOL!  For the past 2 days I have been mastering the skill of spit bubbles.  It truly grosses Mommy out but she hasn’t told me that.  I of course give her big slobbery kisses on a regular basis but when I tried to give her a kiss after my bubble blowing practice and I had spit running down my chin she went and got a face cloth to wipe it off first LOL.

I Heart Faces – Nostalgia

smallbuttonThis week’s theme is nostalgia.  You have to post a picture that brings back a memory and tell everyone about it.  I chose this picture because Taylor is rock picking and loves it!  My cousin and I would spend hours doing this when we were little (we lived in the country, what can I say LOL).  My favorite thing to find was formica.  I loved how it would crumble in your hand and sparkle in the sun.  To this day I love all things shiny LOL! If you want to see all the other nostalgic pics visit I Heart Faces.SONY DSC

A little playtime with Dad.

SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC

After my playtime with Daddy I was a little tuckered out and needed to have a sip of juice and rest my head.  We didn’t do too much this weekend so far.  Daddy doesn’t have to work tomorrow so Mommy and I will see what we can con Dad into doing LOL.  I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I Heart Faces – Bubbles

smallbuttonI can’t wait to see all the entries this week.  Bubbles will be a great theme, who doesn’t love bubbles?  I bet all the professionals will have some beautiful pictures to share so head on over to I Heart Faces to have a look.  I took this picture of Taylor 4 months ago.  It was still chilly outside but she (ahem, I) couldn’t wait to give the bubble machine a try.  Taylor loved every minute of it and giggled and played with the bubbles the whole time.

How to get off the couch

First you have to roll over and back up slowly.

When you don’t feel the floor right away you might begin to worry…

but once you feel the floor under your feet you will breath a sigh of relief and be good to go!

These pics were taken a while ago and I have been getting on and off of the couch like a pro for a while… until recently.  Mommy caught me up on the couch and when she told me to get off I decided I would try it a different way.  I ran!  I tried to halt at the end of the chaise but I had too much momentum and fell right off.  I of course gave myself a huge goose egg and scared the day lights out of Mommy.  I am into everything lately and if you tell me no I’ll do it anyways.  I kind of learned my lesson on that one but it hasn’t stopped me from climbing up on the couch when I’m not supposed to but I haven’t tried running off again LOL.

Wordless Wednesday… Almost

Mommy is a bit behind because she has been busy with some things.  I hope I will be able to tell you about it sometime.  Anyways, we will try to get back into a normal posting mode again and try catching up with everyone soon.

I Heart Faces - Crazy, Silly, Funny Face!

smallbutton

It’s my favorite post day!  Time for another I heart faces entry.  Taylor has a multitude of expressions and loves to show them off if you ask her to (and sometimes when you don’t ask).  This is her fish face, she can’t hold it for long because when I make the face back at her she giggles and you can’t smile and do this face at the same time!SONY DSC

Playing with Daddy

Here I am enjoying a little play time with daddy.  I took over daddy’s spot and swiped mommy’s drink LOL!

Another Barn Kitten

Mommy took these picture a few weeks ago but forgot to post them.  This little kitty was the only orange one in the bunch, all the others were black & white.  I really liked petting him!
