Theme Weeks

SONY DSC

Next week we are starting our theme weeks!  We will start with colours and our first colour is going to be red.  Each day (Mon-Fri) we will do something with the colour red.  Mommy hopes that this will help me get all of my colours memorized.  I get them right only about 25% of the time LOL.  I am looking forward to some fun and Mommy is hoping that it will help with my colours and my need for some extra attention.  In the last month or so I have been acting very much like a 2 year old and it may or may not have something to do with Mason… I won’t confirm or deny her suspicions LOL!!!  Monday we are focusing on a red food theme, sounds yummy to me.

Happy Weekend!

SONY DSC

I had a busy and fun day today.  We went to Lemoine Point this morning (it was so nice and not humid!).  I played with my play-doh on 3 separate occasions and I painted/finger painted myself LOL!  I started out just painting on my sheets of paper and I was being so good so Mommy took the opportunity to do some work in Simply Accounting.  I was only 3 feet away from her but she wasn’t facing me and when she turned around a minute later I had pulled out my elastic, painted my face, hands, arms and hair!  I haven’t uploaded the pictures yet but we did get over 300 shots today so I am sure there are some keepers LOL!  Happy Friday, I hope everyone has a great long weekend.

Mondays With Mason… on Tuesday

SONY DSC

I’m 13 weeks and exactly 3 months old today!  I am really growing fast and learning new things.  I now try to sit straight up.  I do not want to sit up against anyone, I want to lean forward and try to sit on my own with very little support.  Of course I am not ready to sit on my own yet but I really want to!  I will take a rattle from you if you pass me one and immediately try to get it into my mouth, it is fun to experience all of the different textures.  Lying around is no longer okay with me, I want to be part of the action.  Sitting outside is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do.  I hope the muggy weather is gone soon so we can sit outside more often.  There were a few days this weekend that were nice and I loved it.  We went to another fair this weekend and Mommy remembered her camera this time so we will be posting some of those soon.  We hope everyone had a great weekend.

Buskers

A few weeks ago we went downtown to see the buskers.  We didn’t really get a chance to see much of anything though.  Mommy waited inline for over an hour so that I could get my face painted while Daddy, Mason, myself and a few friends waited in the shade and looked around.  Finally it was my turn and Mommy called Daddy on his cell to bring me over.  Well as it turned out I had to be 3 to get my face painted!!??  I went to buskers last year and had my face painted no problem and I was 1!!  Needless to say Mommy was not happy after waiting in line… in the hot sun… for an hour!!  The lady blabbed something about insurance and Mommy gave her the whatever look LOL!  They said that they would paint my arm instead so I got some blue flowers on my arm.  I didn’t really care where the paint was, I was just excited to get some flowers so Mommy was happy that I was still happy.    We really didn’t get a good picture of my arm though because I wasn’t staying still long enough to get one and Mommy didn’t want to try to make me because it was too hot and I had skipped my nap that day.  I did have a few fits and ran off a few time so I was put into my stroller.  Here is a picture of what they bribed me with to get me to stop crying LOL, Daddy’s Dr. Pepper!

Splash Pad Play

We went to the splash pad on Sunday, it was really fun and I enjoyed running around in the water.  I also really liked the play structures too.  I ran around in a circle on the structure for about an hour!  By the time I was done I didn’t even have to hold Daddy’s hand anymore.  Mason liked being on his blanket and Mommy liked getting some pictures of course.

Saturday we went to a fair but Mommy forgot her camera, can you believe it?!  That’s okay, we are going to another fair this weekend so she will get some pictures then.

Mondays With Mason

SONY DSCSONY DSC

Mommy couldn’t decide which edit she liked more so she posted both.  Thanks Pioneer Woman!  I’m not sure how I feel about this picture but when Mommy saw this one she couldn’t stop laughing and knew it would be this week’s Monday picture.

We went to the splash pad on Sunday and had lots of fun.  I enjoyed laying in the grass on a blanket rather than being stuck in my car seat and Taylor ran around like a mad woman!  Her new favorite word in “SELF!!”  Mommy says she fancies herself a big girl and wants to do everything by herself and pitches a fit if she can’t.  I’m happy just to be unrestrained so I guess that now makes me the easy child, unless you factor in the night time LOL?  I did sleep the whole night for 3 nights in a row and since then have woke her up once a night and last night I woke her up 3 times hehehe!!!

So I am almost 12 weeks old and I am growing like a weed.  This week I am starting to enjoy a little play time on my own, but not too long.  I want to touch my toys more and I love it when I manage to get them in my mouth.  Sitting up with support is okay but I still prefer to be held but Mommy says that will soon change.  I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Are you kidding me?

Yesterday was just one of those days, we just bought this patio set a few weeks ago!  Please remember to put your umbrella down if you aren’t using it and you are expecting a storm.DSC05486-2DSC05487-2

Size Comparison

                                     Taylor                                                                                                 Mason

Taylor%202%20months%20158 DSC05484-2 Well there you have it, I am noticeably plumper than Mason.  Look at my cheeks LOL!!  We are both 11 weeks and 3 days old in these pictures.  I had more rolls that’s for sure.  I don’t think we look alike as much as we did a month ago, which is okay because I am a girl and he is a boy LOL.

Last night Daddy took me for a long walk around our neighbourhood in my push buggy.  It was the first time we have went for a walk in that and I had so much fun.  Mommy went to the bank and when she got back we were gone so she went outside to see if we were in the yard and she could hear me yelling and laughing from all the way down the street.  Where was her camera when she needed it?!  We are hoping to go again maybe tomorrow but we have something else planned for a fun time so we will see.

Mondays With Mason

SONY DSC

Almost 11 Weeks!  I went to see the doctor on Wednesday last week and it’s official, I am a whopper!  I weighed 16lbs and I am 25.5 inches long.  I am still skinnier than Taylor was though LOL!!  Look for another comparison post coming this weekend.  It might shock you how plump she was hehehe!!  So the above picture is for my big sister… I’m grinning because even though I weigh more than you did at this point, I am thinner… nanner nanner nanner!!!

Last night I finally slept the whole night through.  I fell asleep about 8:30 –8:45 and I slept until 8:00 this morning!!!  Mommy loved it and gave me an extra long hug this morning LOL.  I’m sure I won’t sleep every night all night but I might give her a break every now and again.

Just Chillin’

It’s really hot outside so we are enjoying the A/C for the most part.  Daddy did take me outside to have a dip in the pool today though.  I really did not want to come back in the house when he had to go back to work though.

I am happier than I look in this picture.  I was just testing out some different faces.  In some of the shots I gave my big cheesy smile and some of them I gave dirty sideways looks LOL.  In this one Mommy said to just give my normal look and this is what I came up with hehehe!

After Bath Beauty

Mommy chased me around the living room with her camera one night last week because she loves this towel and how it brings out the blue in my eyes.  I just love getting chased so I didn’t mind too much but I didn’t make it easy for her to get these pictures.

I started riding Mommy’s broom and mop like a horse last week and running around saying yee haw, yee haw!  To my utter delight Daddy came home Sunday morning with a pony head and pole from toys r us.  I am having fun with that and will have to post some pictures of it soon.  Daddy also bought me a blow up pool and I am really excited to get in it again.  I do have a red pool but Mommy complained that it is red and every picture she takes has to be so edited to remove the colour cast LOL!!

I am not the only one being spoiled… stay tuned for a post this week to see what Mommy got.

Mondays With Mason

SONY DSCSONY DSC

10 weeks old tomorrow!!  That’s a picture of me on the swing set a couple of weeks ago.  Taylor and I were swinging beside each other on the play set.  When Mommy took a closer look at the picture she noticed how clear the background was in my eyes, she was very excited to get such a sharp picture!

I am becoming a laughing fool.  Mommy lifts my hips up and kisses my belly and it makes me giggle!!  It isn’t a belly chuckle but it is very close to a real laugh and she adores my cute sounds.  I am well on my way to sleeping through the whole night but I still get up once around 4:30.  I am going to the doctors on Wednesday so I will fill you in on what he says.

Canada Day Firsts

We went to Grandma & Grandpa’s house to see the fireworks from their house.  What they failed to mention was that we could not see the fireworks from their house!  Fortunately they had some laying around from previous years and we set off our own.  It was really fun for me to see and I really liked them but Mommy really wanted to get some pictures of the big fireworks display.  Anyways, needless to say, it was virtually impossible to set up the camera to take a picture of a firework when you had no idea of where it would burst, so no fireworks pictures.  We still had a good time though and accomplished a first for both Mason & I.  I caught a fish ( a small rock bass) and Mason sat on the grass and saw his first fireworks.  Here are a few shots from our Canada Day.
