Mondays With Mason on Tuesday… Again

SONY DSC

18 Weeks!!  As you can probably tell the past week has been filled with lots of toe catching!  I am really trying to suck on them but I can’t seem to keep them in my mouth long enough.  Mommy has also been trying to get me to practice on my sitting skills.  I usually do not sit up on the couch by myself for very long, I don’t like being by myself so I am either on the floor with Taylor and Mommy, being carried around,  or standing or sitting on a lap.  I have been reaching out for toys while laying on my belly and while sitting on the couch, love to chew on any toy!  One of my favorites is a silly dragon fly that says silly things, maybe Mommy will get a video of me chatting to her.  Hopefully we can get some more posts up this week, Taylor has supplied some cute shots for Mommy.

A Very Late Monday With Mason

SONY DSC

Today I am 4 Months old!  Time flies when you are so young.  My latest feat is standing!  When Mommy sits me on her lap I arch myself and fuss until she lifts me up so I can stand on her.  I love trying to balance myself and I am very good at holding my own weight.  For the past 3 or 4 days I have been very interested in my feet.  Who knew feet could be so much fun and amazing?  I wasn’t even aware I had feet until now… what peculiar things they are!  Mommy is almost frightened of how quickly I am growing…  I just want to get up and go!

We are moving… hopefully.  We put an offer in on a house in the country and Mommy was not thrilled about that at all.  Thankfully we pulled that offer and put in another offer in on a house just a few minutes away from where we are now.  It is another new home to be built,  this will be their 4th new home built in 6 years.  Mommy worked in a real estate office for 10 years so when opportunities presented themselves they just moved LOL!!  Mommy says it will be interesting because they have never moved with children before.  They moved into our house just 2 weeks before Taylor was born so it should be an adventure.  If all goes well we may be in a new home before the end of the year.

We are so behind on our blogging.  Everyone has been busy cleaning and organizing to get ready to list the house.  Hundreds of pictures have been taken but so little time to post them.  Hopefully soon though!  Mommy is really excited to be able to sit down soon because she just got Photoshop CS5 last week but hasn’t really had any time to look at it.  The above picture was edited with it but she just ran Pioneer Woman’s seventies action to see if she put all of her actions in the right place LOL!  It worked so at least she has got that far with it.

Mondays With Mason

DSC08264-2

16 Weeks tomorrow, just a week and a half shy of 4 Months!!!  This week has consisted of practice.  I had been working on my rolling over skills and my reaching and grabbing technique.  The down side to rolling over early is the frustration of not being able to always roll back onto my back.  Night time rolling is getting me (and Mommy) up in the middle of the night.  I was doing really well at sleeping through the night but now I am trying to roll over in my crib and it doesn’t always work out so well.  Either I am swaddled and can’t roll over and that frustrates me or I roll over and in the process get my legs stuck in the crib slats which really gets me yelling LOL!  Mommy says I will be able to do it easily soon enough though, I hope so because I am not a very patient little man.

Yesterday was really fun for us.  In the morning we went out to breakfast with Grandma & Grandpa.  After breakfast we came home and had a play date with Lynn, Reese, and Aiden.  It was lots of fun to meet some little boys, Mommy said they existed but I wasn’t so sure since I have only met my cousin Jayden but he is a big little man LOL!  Thanks for coming over, Taylor and I had a great time.  After our naps Uncle Dave and Aunt Amy came over and we went out to dinner and had a nice visit too, thanks for entertaining me and carrying me around.

We might be moving so things have been a little busy but that post/rant/whine will have to wait until we know for sure LOL!!  We will try to catch up with everyone tonight.

An M&M Story

M&M

When Mommy was chasing me with her camera and showing me my bribe for smiling what she had in her hand, she accidentally dropped one.  I got down on the floor beside it, pointed to it to show her where it was and then ate it LOL!

Mondays With Mason

SONY DSC

I think the outfit says it all LOL!!  Tomorrow I will be 15 weeks old!  I am rolling over like crazy and loving every minute of it.  I am quite pleased with myself once I get onto my belly.   I still get my arm stuck sometimes and it really gets me frustrated but soon I will be a pro.  I love the sound of my own voice and I scream as loud as I can (thanks Taylor for teaching me that).  If you pull me up to a sitting position I can keep my head even with my body.  I am grasping toys with both hands.  I am really loving my Sophie Giraffe,  keep an eye out for a picture of her and I together.  I am starting to try and tuck my legs up underneath me when I am on my tummy… an early crawler perhaps?  Mommy’s not too sure how she feels about that.

Another Comparison

In these 2 shots you can really see the difference between Mason and I.  Both pictures were taken when we were 14 weeks and 5 days old, or yesterday in Mason’s case LOL.  I have Daddy’s eyes and mouth and Mason has Mommy’s eyes and mouth.  I have Mommy’s nose and Mason has Daddy’s nose,  we are opposites LOL!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Look who’s rolling over already!

I told Mommy I was strong… and she thought the first time was just a fluke!  I have been rolling over like crazy for the past few days.  We have many more pictures to post but Mommy has been to busy to catch up with anyone.  Daddy’s year end was the 31st of July and she has also been trying to get her printer figured out again.  We will try to catch up with everyone tonight.

Mondays With Mason

SONY DSC 14 weeks old tomorrow.  Many new things happened this last week!  I rolled over from my stomach to my back.  Mommy thought it might have just been an accident but I did it 2 more times right after that!  I am also making it half way onto my stomach from my back.  I seem to be more advanced than Taylor was with these things so Mommy wasn’t really prepared for it LOL, she thinks it’s all happening by accident.  I am also passing toys from one hand to the other.  Again she thought this was a fluke but I have done it 3 or 4 days in a row now so she’s not so sure.  I still drop things a lot but I am getting there.  Taylor was more advanced in her fine motor skills so she was easily grasping, passing and reaching for toys by now but we babies are all so different in our development!

We had some friends over and had a nice visit.  It was nice to sit outside and just relax again.  I’m also glad Taylor was preoccupied and left me alone… I got Mommy all to myself LOL!!  Thanks for the visit!
